Equipping Leaders To Multiply

Gift-based OR Guilt-based Leadership?

Why are you doing what you’re doing?

Make a list of the tasks you focused on today. On second thought, go ahead and make a list of all the things you did this week. Go ahead. I’ll wait.

Are the things on your list driven by your gifts? Are they a reflection of your strengths? Were you energized by your work this week? Are you doing that which only you can do?

Or are there things on your list that you’re doing because you feel guilty? You’ve picked up someone else’s slack. You feel bad asking someone else to do the task because you know how much you don’t like doing it.

Guilt-based leadership is exhausting.
Gift-based leadership is energizing.

Which category are you leading from?
