Truly try to see of there is a kernel of truth in someone’s criticism.
Great List Mac. I would have to add:
Great leaders are ALWAYS in the process of replacing themselves!
I wish I had some handy phrases, memorized and rehearsed, for dealing with criticism and feedback. I know there is always going to be someone who is discontent, and either wants you to KNOW he is discontent, or maybe even wants to convince you to change something.
Eg, my senior pastor Michael Fletcher responds to criticism by admitting freely, “You’re right–I really do have a lot to learn about being a pastor.”
Does anyone have any helpful “tricks” like this?
