A Big Weekend

Posted by maclake | Posted in Worship | Posted on 15-06-2009

This was a big weekend for our family.  One year ago we sent our 17 year old son Brandon to Ocean’s Edge School of Worship in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  Ocean’s Edge was started three years ago by Calvary Chapel Ft. Lauderdale for the purpose of raising up future worship leaders. The ten month program focuses on training students in leadership, discipleship and worship.  This weekend Brandon graduated from the OE program.  As part of their final the students performed songs they had written and produced on their CD “Reason to Sing”.  My heart swelled with pride as I witnessed the growth that had taken place in my son in just ten short months.   Thanks Doug Farrar and OE staff for believing in and investing your lives developing next generation leaders.  To hear and learn more about Brandon you can go to the Worship Tab on this blog.
