Here’s a question I get a lot. What’s the best leadership development tool out there?

When people ask me that question they’re expecting me to respond with a particular book, program or course. While all those are helpful none of them rank at the top of my list.

So you want to know what my number one choice is for developing leaders? The one thing that produces the greatest leadership development results every single time is MENTORING. A potential leader getting hands-on experience under the watchful eye of a skilled mentor it’s just invaluable. Now, while Mentoring is the most influential means of leadership development, unfortunately, it’s also the most underutilized means of developing leaders.
